Minnesota real estate professionals have a fiduciary duty to provide consistent representation that is fair, inclusive, and free of intentional or accidental discrimination. They play an important role in promoting homeownership and must always practice socially responsible real estate agency.
This course describes barriers to home ownership and explains the steps licensees can take to make home ownership accessible to everyone. It also examines the different Minnesota organizations that promote access to homeownership through education, support, and down payment assistance. The course then describes best practices licensees can use to avoid discriminatory behavior when accepting and transmitting offers and showing and listing properties. Numerous case studies throughout the course demonstrate the importance of providing equitable and inclusive representation to clients during a transaction.
This course meets Minnesota's 7/1/22 to 6/30/22 3.75 hour core CE requirement. It also satisfies the 1-hour broker module requirement, the 1-hour fair housing requirement, and the 1-hour agency law requirement.
