The six-hour Tennessee Real Estate Commission (TREC) Residential Core Course provides a detailed overview of the rules, regulations, and issues relating to practicing real estate in Tennessee. It explains recent updates to Tennessee laws and policies related to real estate as well as TREC's guidelines for agency, advertising, contracts and disclosures, property management, and principal broker supervision. The course covers all aspects of doing business as a real estate licensee in the state.

Upon completion, students will be able to:

• explain recent updates to Tennessee real estate laws, rules, and policies affecting earnest money, advertising, commissions, electronic records, and license suspension
• recognize the types of permissible agency relationships in Tennessee
• describe the advertising rules that licensees must comply with
• explain the various components of the Tennessee Purchase and Sale Agreement and related forms
• describe TREC rules pertaining to property management
• state the different types of real estate disclosures that must be made
• explain the supervisory duties of primary brokers
