Products liability refers to the legal liability of manufacturers and sellers to compensate others who suffer injuries or damage caused by a product they manufactured or sold. This liability can extend to the manufacturer of component parts, an assembling manufacturer, the wholesaler, and the retail store owner.

If a product causes injury or damage, it can lead to high-dollar liability claims and expensive recall programs. This course is designed to help manufacturers and their insurance representative recognize their products liability and product recall exposures and understand the tools available for addressing them.
