Regulatory Review for California CPAs

Overview

This course has been approved by the California Board of Accountancy to fulfill the two-hour rules and regulations course that must be completed by California CPAs every six years. Please note that this requirement is in addition to the four hours of ethics that must be taken every two years.

This course provides a comprehensive review of relevant rules and regulations, disciplinary actions taken by the Board, and answers to frequently asked questions.

The California Board of Accountancy requires a score of 90% to pass. You have unlimited exam attempts.

Learning Objectives

After completing this course successfully, you should be able to:

  • recognize important sections of the California Accountancy Act
  • recognize important sections of the California Board of Accountancy Regulations
  • identify standards of professional conduct
  • recognize disciplinary issues frequently encountered by CPAs in public practice
  • recall disciplinary actions taken by the California Board of Accountancy and the associated CPA misconduct
