What are the Insurance Exam Prep education requirements for Guam?
Individuals must complete a pre-licensing course of study for the lines of authority desired before taking any examination. The prelicensing course must consist of 30 hours per line of authority on the general principles of insurance for that line of authority. The lines of authority requiring a pre-licensing course are as follows:
Life – 30 hours
Health and Accident – 30 hour
Property and Casualty – 30 hours
Adjuster – 30 hours
How to get an insurance license in Guam
Meet the general eligibility criteria
Be at least 18 years of age.
Maintain principal place of residence or business in Guam.
Complete required prelicensing education
Prepare for the Guam Licensing Exam by completing a pre-licensing course of study.
To satisfy the requirements for your course, you will need to pass a closed-book non-monitored Exam Prep Course Certification Exam with a 70% or greater.
When making a licensing exam reservation, applicants will be required to present your Certificate of Completion at your licensing exam. After passing the Exam Prep Course Certification Exam, you will be able to download a PDF Certificate of Completion.
Register and pass state licensing exam
Please note licensing exams are only offered twice a month. Please visit University of Guam website for more information and to schedule your exam. Test time will only be at 1 p.m. (Check-in begins at 12 p.m.). The deadline to register is 12:00 pm on the day before the intended exam date. Confirmation emails will be sent on Thursday after 12:00 pm. Please visit the website https://www.uog.edu/gle/exam-schedules for exam dates.
Apply for a License
After passing your licensing exam, applicants must come personally to the Guam Department of Revenue and Taxation and complete their licensing application. Appointments are not required; walk-ins are welcome.
What are the WebCE Guam Insurance Exam Prep course requirements?
Per Guam PLE requirements, applicants are required to complete all the lessons in the pre-license education course sequentially before they can be issued a certificate of completion.
Students must pass the closed-book non-monitored Exam Prep Course Certification exam with a score of 70% or higher.
If the final exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.

What is the access period for WebCE Guam Insurance Exam Prep courses?
90 days from the date of purchase. One additional extension for an additional 90 days can be purchased for $50.

Course completions are reported to SBS every business day.
Does WebCE supply a certificate of completion for Guam Insurance Exam Prep courses?
Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the final exam is passed. Pre-licensing course certificates are valid for one year from the date of completion.
What is the process to obtain a non-resident insurance license in Guam?
Submit an application for licensure for an insurance producer that has been submitted to the applicant’s home state or a completed NAIC Uniform Application (Business or Individual).
Certificate of good standing issued by the Insurance Commissioner in the applicant’s home state and proof of active license.
An insurance producer applicant who is not a broker must submit an agency appointment from a Guam licensed insurer or from a Guam licensed resident general agent together with the completed application.
