What are the Real Estate Continuing Education requirements for Colorado?

24 CE hours total

Are there any subject area requirements for Colorado Real Estate CE?

  • Annual Commission Update: 12 CE hours total; 4 CE hours annually
  • Elective: 12 CE hours

When does Colorado Real Estate CE have to be completed?

12/31 triennially

Note: The “Annual Commission Update” must be completed each calendar year.

Can Real Estate CE courses be repeated?

No course may be repeated for credit in the same calendar year.

Can Real Estate CE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?

Excess hours may not be carried forward to satisfy a subsequent renewal requirement.

What are the WebCE Colorado Real Estate CE course requirements?

  • WebCE courses are classified as distance education.
    Important Notice: No more than 8 hours worth of final exams can be completed in a 24 hour period. Study time starts at the time of enrollment.
  • Students must read the course material and answer each set of end-of-chapter quizzes with a score of at least 60 percent before taking an open-book non-monitored final exam.
  • Exam passing score: 70%
  • If the final exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.

What is the access period for WebCE Colorado Real Estate CE courses?

12 months from the original date of purchase, unless otherwise posted on the course description page and student dashboard.

How often does WebCE report Colorado Real Estate CE course completions?

WebCE does not report course completions to the Colorado Division of Real Estate.

Does WebCE supply a certificate of completion for Colorado Real Estate CE courses?

Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the final exam is passed. The licensee must keep a copy of each certificate of completion in his or her file for 4 years and provide proof of completion upon the Commission's request.

Are there any CE exemptions?

The following are exempt from Colorado CE requirements:
  • An initial broker's license expires at midnight on December 31st of the year in which it was issued. During that initial licensure period, the newly licensed broker will not have any obligation to complete any continuing education. After that initial license period, the active licensee will then be on a 3-year license cycle and will be obligated to complete 24 hours of continuing education within that licensing cycle.
