When does Kansas Real Estate CE have to be completed?

Can Real Estate CE courses be repeated?

Courses may not be repeated for credit in the same renewal cycle.

Can Real Estate CE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?

Excess credit hours may not be carried forward to the next license term.

What is the Kansas Real Estate license renewal process?

Licensees now renew up to six weeks prior to the license expiration date. The Commission sends courtesy renewal reminder emails 45 days prior to expiration--be sure to update your email address. Active licensees must meet the CE requirements and the renewal application and fee must be postmarked by the expire date, or the CE must be on record with KREC and the active license renewed online before midnight of the expire date, to avoid the late fee.

What are the WebCE Kansas Real Estate CE course requirements?

  • WebCE courses are classified as online distance education.
    Important Notice: Students will not be able to complete the course until the student’s time in the course equals the number of approved credit hours for the course.
  • Students must read the course material and answer each set of end-of-chapter quizzes with a score of at least 90 percent.
  • If the quizzes are not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.

What is the access period for WebCE Kansas Real Estate CE courses?

12 months from the original date of purchase, unless otherwise posted on the course description page and student dashboard.

How often does WebCE report Kansas Real Estate CE course completions?

Every business day to the Kansas Real Estate Commission.

Does WebCE supply a certificate of completion for Kansas Real Estate CE courses?

Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the final exam is passed.

What are the Kansas Real Estate CE requirements for non-residents?

Non-residents must take the same commission-approved course(s) for mandatory hours. Non-residents may receive credit for elective hours for courses approved by their state of residence if:
  • the course was taken within the Kansas license renewal period; and
  • the licensee emails the certificate(s) to the Commission before the Kansas license renewal date. Please include your Kansas license number to ensure proper credit.
  • Note: To receive credit for distance education, students must pass course questions with a 90% passing score.

Are there any CE exemptions?

The following are exempt from Kansas CE requirements:
  • Renewal of a license on inactive status does not require continuing education but the hours must eventually be completed to change to active status.
