How to Renew Your License

What are the Real Estate Continuing Education requirements for Utah?

All License Types

18 CE hours total

When renewing for the first time, all licensees must complete the 12-hour New Agent Course, in addition to a 3-hour mandatory course and one additional 3-hour elective or mandatory course for license renewal. WebCE does not currently offer the Utah 12-hour New Agent Course.

Are there any subject area requirements for Utah Real Estate CE?

  • Core: 9 CE hours
  • Note: 3 of the 9 Core Topic hours must be satisfied by completing a Mandatory 3-Hour Real Estate Commission course in residential, commercial, or property management.
  • Electives: 9 CE hours

When does Utah Real Estate CE have to be completed?

Every 2 years on the last day of the month licensed. Education must be completed by the 15th of the month of renewal in order to ensure an on-time renewal.

Can Real Estate CE courses be repeated?

Courses cannot be repeated more than once in a 2 year license term.

Can Real Estate CE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?

Excess credit hours may not be carried forward to the next license term.

What is the Utah Real Estate license renewal process?

The renewal period is 45 days before the last day of the month in which the license expires. Any license not renewed during the renewal period will expire, and late fees will apply. The expiration date is printed on the license and can also be found on the Division’s Licensee database.

What are the WebCE Utah Real Estate CE course requirements?

  • WebCE courses are classified as online distance education courses.
  • Students must read the course material and answer each set of end-of-chapter quizzes with a score of at least 70 percent.
  • Students will not be able to complete the course until the student’s time in the course equals the number of approved credit hours for the course.
  • Residential core course requires for licensees to sit on each page for a specified amount of time before they can move to the next page.
  • No more than 8 CE hours can be completed in a 24 hour period
  • Final exams are not required for CE.
  • If the end-of-chapter quiz is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.

What is the access period for WebCE Utah Real Estate CE courses?

12 months from the original date of purchase, unless otherwise posted on the course description page and student dashboard.

How often does WebCE report Utah Real Estate CE course completions?

Every business day to the Utah Real Estate Division. It can take up to 6 business days from the time we report your hours before the Division updates their website.

Does WebCE supply a certificate of completion for Utah Real Estate CE courses?

Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the course is completed.
