Delaware's Acceptance: WebCE® courses meet the NASBA/AICPA CPE Standards, and therefore are accepted by the Delaware State Board.

What are the CPE requirements for Delaware?

  • Total CPE Requirement: 80 hours over 2 years
  • Annual CPE Requirement: 20 hours

Are there any subject area requirements for Delaware CPA CPE?

  • CPA Ethics: 4 hours of Delaware board-approved ethics CPE
  • Accounting & Auditing: Minimum 8 hours
  • Tax: Minimum 8 hours
  • Accounting, Tax, or Auditing: An additional 20 credit hours must be in Accounting, Auditing, or Tax (for a total of 36 hours in these combined categories)

When does CPA CPE have to be completed?

6/30 every odd year

Can CPA CPE courses be repeated?

Courses can not be taken for credit more than once in a 2-year reporting period.

Are there any CPA CPE credit type limits?

  • Self Study: Maximum 24 hours
  • Published Materials: Maximum 20 hours
  • Instruction: Maximum 40 hours

Can CPA CPE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?

Maximum of 20 hours may be carried forward to the next year.

What is the Delaware CPA license renewal process?

Renewal notices will be mailed before expiration date with instructions on how to renew online. CPE attestation will be done at the time of online renewal.

What are the WebCE Delaware CPE course requirements?

  • WebCE courses are NASBA QAS self-study with non-monitored open-book final exams. Students should read through course material then complete exam
  • If the final exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes
  • Passing score: 70%

What is the access period for WebCE Delaware CPE courses?

12 months from the original date of purchase, unless otherwise posted on the course description page and student dashboard. Due to regulatory guidelines, access to courses CANNOT BE EXTENDED past 12 months from the original date of purchase.

How often does WebCE report Delaware CPE course completions?

WebCE does not report CPE course completions to the Delaware State Board of Public Accountancy.

Does WebCE supply a certificate of completion for Delaware CPE courses?

Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the final exam is passed. CPAs should maintain written evidence of completion for a period of 5 years following the completion of each reporting activity.
