Courses cannot be repeated more than once in a 2 year license term.

Can Funeral CE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?

Excess CE credit hours earned in one license term may not be carried forward to the next license term.

What is the Utah Funeral license renewal process?

Prior to the expiration of a license, the Board will mail a renewal application and notice of renewal fee to licensees. Licensees are not required to send in evidence of continuing education hours at the time of renewal. The Department will randomly select licensees for a post renewal audit.

What are the WebCE Utah Funeral CE course requirements?

  • WebCE courses are online approved self-study courses with non-monitored open-book final exams. Students should read through the course material then complete the exam.
  • Passing score: 70%
  • If the final exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.

What is the access period for WebCE Utah Funeral CE courses?

12 months from the original date of purchase

How often does WebCE report Utah Funeral CE course completions?

WebCE does not report course completions to the Utah Department of Professional Licensing.

Does WebCE supply a certificate of completion for Utah Funeral CE courses?

Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the final exam is passed. Licensees should keep all certificates a minimum of 4 years for state auditing purposes.

What are the Utah Funeral CE requirements for non-residents?

Anyone who holds an active Funeral Service Director license for the State of Utah must comply with Utah’s requirements.

Are there any CE exemptions?

  • Licensees may request a waiver of CE due to medical reasons or other extenuating circumstances.
  • If you received your initial license during the current renewal cycle, you must only complete a pro-rata amount of qualified professional education for the time you were actually licensed.
