Can Funeral CE courses be repeated?

OSHA courses may be repeated every renewal cycle. All other courses may be repeated every other renewal cycle.

Can Funeral CE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?

Excess CE credit hours earned in one license term may not be carried forward to the next license term.

What is the Washington Funeral license renewal process?

The Board will send out renewal notices prior to license expiration date. Licensees should contact the Board if they did not receive a renewal notice or have moved. Licensee will be required to attest that they have completed the required CE for current renewal period. If the licensee is selected for a random audit, they would then be required to provide proof of CE training.

What are the WebCE Washington Funeral CE course requirements?

  • WebCE courses are online approved self-study courses with non-monitored open-book final exams. Students should read through the course material then complete the exam.
  • Passing score: 70%
  • If the final exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.

What is the access period for WebCE Washington Funeral CE courses?

12 months from the original date of purchase

How often does WebCE report Washington Funeral CE course completions?

WebCE does not report course completions to the Washington State Department of Licensing - Funeral and Cemeteries.

Does WebCE supply a certificate of completion for Washington Funeral CE courses?

Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the final exam is passed. Licensees should keep all certificates on file for 3 years for auditing purposes.

What are the Washington Funeral CE requirements for non-residents?

Anyone who holds an active Funeral Director or Embalmer license for the State of Washington must meet all CE requirements even if they do not live in Washington.

Are there any CE exemptions?

The board may waive CE requirements due to illness or other emergency situations. Contact the Board for more information.
