New York P&C Exam Prep Course Packages
The New York Property & Casualty Exam Prep course packages from WebCE are designed to help recruits pass the state licensing exam on the first try. The NY Property & Casualty Exam Prep Complete Package includes the New York Property and Casualty Insurance Agent/Broker Exam Prep Course, written by industry experts to satisfy the most current state exam content outline. This package also includes access to popular study tools like WebCE’s State Exam Tutor® exam simulator and Flash Tutor online flashcards.
The NY P&C Exam Prep course is also available in WebCE’s NY Property & Casualty Exam Prep Plus Complete Package. In order to receive a New York P&C agent (PC) or P&C broker (BR) license, applicants must complete a state-approved prelicensing course. WebCE is an approved prelicensing provider by the New York Department of Financial Services, and our new NY P&C Exam Prep packages fulfill the 90 hours of required prelicensing education. By completing the required prelicense course with WebCE, recruits will be able to complete the exam course on their own time and at their own pace without ever having to step foot in a classroom.
After completing the required exam prep course, recruits can take the NY Property and Casualty Insurance Broker Exam Series 17-56. Once they complete the P&C exam, applicants may receive their NY P&C producer or broker license.
Property & casualty producers in New York must be appointed by an authorized company. A company appointment is not required to obtain a NY P&C license. However, an appointment notice must be submitted to the NY Department of Financial Services within 15 days of the first insurance application submission or the date the agency contract is executed.
Licensed P&C producers in New York are allowed to sell liability, auto, homeowners, and commercial insurance products. They are responsible for helping their clients manage risk and provide financial safeguards for property and casualty against possible damage in the future.
