Leading Firm’s new “How To Insure” Courses will also offer unique online insurance CE

WebCE, a leading provider of co-branded online education services, today announced that The Rough Notes Company, Inc., one of the nation’s premier publishers to the insurance industry, has selected WebCE to deliver its new training content in an online format, qualifying it for nationwide insurance continuing education (CE) accreditation. The new courses have been submitted and have already been approved by 30 states.

Based in Carmel, Indiana, The Rough Notes Company has developed innovative tools and resources for the insurance agent for well over a century. The latest tool is a brand new concept in Continuing Education—The How To Insure Agency OnLine Continuing Education Program. Rough Notes President, Walt Gdowski said, “Many property/casualty agents are taking classes not for the knowledge but for the CE credits. Most agents would like to be able to gain both. The ‘How to Insure’ Online Continuing Education Program is a practical hands-on program that explores the insurance needs of a customer. It starts with an brief look at the insurance exposures of a specific class of risk, recommends minimum coverages for the class, reviews the type of questions to ask the applicant (along with reasons why the questions should be asked) and finally explores a coverage or endorsement that might fill a coverage gap common to the class of business.

Gdowski added, "We developed these courses to help an agent feel comfortable in moving beyond his or her current customer and knowledge base. When we decided to include Continuing Education Credit as part of the course, we turned to WebCE because of their commitment to innovation and excellence. We needed a nationwide online insurance CE solution that could provide our customers with proven technical capabilities and the comprehensive customer service functions they have come to expect from any product offered by The Rough Notes Company.”

Speaking for WebCE, CEO Gary Henkel said, “We are very excited to be able to deliver The Rough Notes’ new and highly-innovative training content to their customers in a state-compliant CE format. WebCE team members pride themselves on building and maintaining co-branded continuing education platforms to help achieve our partner’s goals. This includes web site creation, content conversion to CE-compliant formats, becoming the CE provider of record for its partners, fulfillment, and providing end-user support. We are very confident the new Rough Notes “How To Insure” courses will be a big hit with their customers.”
