WebCE® Releases Ohio-Specific Long Term Care Partnership Training Course
WebCE, a nationwide provider of continuing education for insurance professionals, announced the release of a new training course titled Ohio Long-Term Care: Programs, Policies, and Partnerships. This course enables Ohio producers to obtain their newly-mandated eight hours of study on the subject of long-term care and long-term care partnership programs. This training must be completed by September 1, 2008, in order for producers to continue selling LTC insurance in the state of Ohio. After this date, a producer cannot sell or place a LTC policy without having completed this training.
In addition to qualifying as an approved long-term care training course, Ohio Long-Term Care: Programs, Policies and Partnerships has also received approval from the Ohio Department of Insurance for eight hours of CE credit. It is available for $19.95*. Quantity discounts are available.
Since the passage of the Deficit Reduction Act, Ohio became one of the first states to implement a new long-term care partnership program. As part of the new program, Ohio requires that all producers who sell, solicit, or negotiate long-term care insurance in Ohio must have eight hours of training on this subject.
WebCE’s new course covers the nature of long-term care, available long-term care services and providers, long-term care insurance products, government-sponsored health care options (including Medicaid), partnership programs, alternative LTC funding options, and the ethical and suitability issues associated with long-term care products and policies. The course concludes with a chapter on Ohio’s requirements for the marketing, sale, and issue of long-term care insurance policies.
*course price includes online course, exam, grading and certificate of completion. Additional fees for state filing will apply at checkout.
